Eat, drink, and be SCARY!
Dress your best at this year’s annual Halloween on the MarshWalk. All ages are welcome to attend but come prepared, the sights might haunt you after. Festivities begin at 5 p.m. with Trick-or-Treating along the MarshWalk for the kids. The annual Children’s Costume Contest is at 6 p.m. in front of Drunken Jack’s at the Pirate Statue. Prizes will be awarded for the Most Creative, Best Group, Funniest, and Scariest for kids ages three and up. Kids ages two and under will compete for the Awes Applause award. Prizes include trophies, ribbons, and candy bags. The Adults Costume Contest will begin at 7 p.m. Over $4,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded to the top costumes. Categories include People’s Choice, Best Duo/Group, Best Individual, Big & Bulky, Murrells Inlet Themed and Honorable Mention. All participants will need to be at Bovine’s by 9:30pm. Final Judging and the Award Ceremony will take place at Bovine’s back deck at 10:00 p.m.
Everyone participating will pick up a stamp card at any of the restaurants and start their journey there. Stamp cards can be picked up at any of the participating MarshWalk restaurants: The Wicked Tuna, The Claw House, Dead Dog Saloon, Creek Ratz, Drunken Jack’s, Wahoo’s, and Bovine’s. Throughout the night your card will get stamped at each of the 7 restaurants to make sure you have been to all the judging stations. You will not be entered for the grand prizes unless your card is presented and has been stamped from all locations.
